ABOUT US • VOLUNTEERING
& DONATING • BOARD & STAFF The Butte Emergency Food Bank has been invited again in 2011 to
participate in the efforts of The Feinstein Foundation of Rhode Island and
its efforts to fight hunger. For each dollar raised locally during March and
April 2011, the Feinstein Foundation contributed 1% of matching funds. In
Montana and in Butte, thousands of dollars were raised as a component of the
Feinstein incentive. In addition to the money, this award allows the Food
Bank to diversify its funding. The Food Bank is choosing to participate again in 2011.
Therefore, any contribution received between March 1 and April 30, 2011 will
be matched to some extent by the Feinstein Foundation. Donated food items are
valued at $1 per item for Feinstein records.
As its goal is a $1 million giveaway, the local total will be
determined at the end of the campaign. You may want to review www.feinsteinfoundation.com Numbers of families needing food in Butte during January and
February 2011 have increased substantially as compared to these months in
previous years. POSTAL
